Lily Press, harp

We are delighted to offer harp and cello, either as solo instruments or as a duo, for your wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, or reception, as well as for gallery openings, fund raisers, memorial services, or other events.

We create custom arrangements upon request and are equally at home performing everything from pop music to R&B to jazz to classical to country to indie rock and everything in between! (Seriously – we’ve transcribed traditional Cape Verdean music, created a recessional based on the credits music from “Adventure Time” and played a bridal party down the aisle to the “Game of Thrones” theme – anything you want, just ask!)

Musical Selections

We hope that these recordings will give you a sense of some of the possibilities that cello and
harp can offer for your event.  Please note that this is only a small fraction of our repertory,
but that the selections here represent some of the major styles we play (classical, celtic, classic
pop ballads, opera arias, lieder).

A Note about Outdoor Events

Since our instruments are very sensitive to changes in temperature and weather, we do have a
few notes about planning an outdoor event.  We ask that we be located on a level, flat surface
and preferably provided with some kind of cover.  If there is a veranda or gazebo already at the
location, this will work wonderfully.  Our instruments (and our fingers!) are also sensitive to
low temperatures so we normally do not play in weather below 60 degrees; in case of inclement weather an alternative indoor location may be a useful precaution.  Thank you for your understanding!
